The Real Salt Lake professional soccer team had a fabulous practice complex built for them that lacked one important component: power for the irrigation controller. Rather than front the huge expense to pull power just for the irrigation controller, they opted to install a battery powered Enercon Plus unit from Alex-Tronix. This allowed them to use all the existing equipment originally specified including wire runs of 1000'. With a battery life of up to five years, maintenance is minimal.
