The city of Saratoga Springs, Utah provides pressurized irrigation water to its residents. Mark Edwards, the city's public works director, worked with Gilson Engineering to select the best filter system for their project. They decided on the advanced Vacleen self-cleaning technology from Valve and Filter. The company's V-Series filter line provides automatic cleaning whenever the filters have accumulated enough debris.

Each filter is manifolded together in a group and cleans itself without disrupting downstream flows. One important feature for the city is the infrequent maintenance required on the filters. With no seals to lubricate and no electric motors to worry about, maintenance is minimal.
